Balls Creek Campground Recruiting
October 25, 2025
Troops 327 and 1327, and Pack 327 held a recruiting event during the Balls Creek Campground Trick-or-Treat event. We passed out over 40lbs of candy and 200+ join scouting flyers. Thanks to scout mom Amanda Whitehead for the use of her tent!
2025 Lakeland District Fall Camporee
October 17 - 19, 2025
Troops 327 and 1327 hosted the Fall Camporee at Bunker Hill Covered Bridge in Claremont, NC. Events included Shooting Range, Ring Toss, Log Pull, Local History, and others. Outside groups supported the event including a master gardner, model aircraft, and a bee keeper.
Sonny D'Alessio Eagle Project
October 11 - 12, 2025
Sonny D'Alessio completed his Eagle Scout project by leading a crew to build changing rooms at the non-profit Amy's Closet.
New Eagle Andrew Troup
September 19, 2025
Andrew Troup became Troop 327's newest Eagle Scout after completing his Eagle Board or Review. Congratulations Andrew!
Murray's Mill 2025
September 26 - 28, 2025
Troops 327 and 1327, and Pack 327 all participated in the Murray's Mill Festival. The troops staffed the candle making and log cutting areas while parents from the troops and pack manned the BBQ tent as a fundraiser for all three units. Arrow of Light scouts from the Pack camped with the troops as part of preparing to transition to Scouting BSA.
Stone Mountain Backpacking
September 6 - 7, 2025
Scouts from troops 327 and 1327 went on a joint backpacking trek to Stone Mountain State Park. The trek was was nearly 7 miles over 24 hours with an elevation gain of nearly 800 feet. The scouts enjoyed backpacking meals and learned to use bear bags while on the hike.
Andrew Troup Eagle Project Workday

Andrew Troup lead a team of adults and scouts to build a musical playground wall to install on the playground of Mt. Pleasan't Church. This completed his Eagle Scout project.
Summer Camp 2025

Food Pantry Service Project

Scouts from Troop 327 and 1327 gathered at Hopewell Church to help in a service project to clean the food pantry by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and moving items to new locations.
Prepping For Summer Camp

Our scouts have spent the month of June prepping for summer camp at Camp Bud Schiele. The theme this summer is Highland Games. We've spent time learning knots, lashings, working on our highland cart, and preparing for other events.
Caving Trip 2025
June 14 - 15, 2025
The Scouts of Troop 327 travelled to Sweetwater, TN for our early summer adventure. Along the way, we stopped at the Smoky Mountain Knife Works, had a great pizza supper, and then arrived at the Lost Sea Adventure, the largest underground lake in the United States. The Scouts camped in the cave overnight, spelunked multiple passages, and boated on the underground lake. On the way home, we stopped at Bucc-ee's in Sevierville for snacks and gifts.
VFW Flag Retirement
May 26, 2025
Scouts from Troop 327 and Pack 327 visited our charter organization, VFW Post 5305 to assist with a flag retirement cermony on Memorial Day. The scouts assisted with properly discarding flags that were no longer fit for service but cutting them apart and burning them.
Lakeland District Awards Banquent

Troop 327 hosted the Lakeland District Awards Banquet at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. Congratulations to all of those who won awards.
2025 Joint Spring Court of Honor

The Scouts from Troops 327 and 1327 held a joint Court of Honor for all awards earned in the Spring of 2025. Scouts were recognized for rank and for earning merit badges. New office holders were given their badges of office.
Spring Camporee 2025

The Scouts from Troops 327 and 1327 travelled to the Alexander Fairgrounds for the Lakeland District Spring Camporee. Fire Safety, Aviation, and Search and Rescue were all covered.
Allison Woods Campout 2025
April 4-6, 2025
Scout Troops 327 and 1327 camped at Allison Woods, They all had a chance in taking leadeship positions throught the campout. The Scouts also had a great time fishing, the younger Scouts had a great time learning their totin chip.
Hanging Rock State Park Hike

The Scouts of Troop 327 and 1327 went to Hanging Rock State Park for a nice day hike. The views at the top and adventure to the top made it worth the time!
2025 Scout Sunday

Scouts of troops 327, 1327, and pack 327 held scout sunday services at Mt Pleasant Methodist Church, some of the scouts agreed to play in a instrumental ensamble.
Cardboard City 2025

The annual Cardboard City campout was held at Mt. Pleasant Church. Cardboard City is a two-part event - one to raise awareness of homelessness and two, to help fundraise for a local charity. This year the fundraiser benefitted the Christian Food Pantry at Hopewell Church (www.sffoodpantry.com)
