This weekend the scouts went on a trip to the lake to fish, cook in their patrols and have a good time.
2026 Washington DC Adventure
July 16 - 19, 2026
Members of Troops 327 and 1327 travelled to Washington, DC for an unforgetable trip where they visited Arlington National Cemetery, Museum of the Marine Corp, the National Mall, Udvar Hazy Air & Space Museum, and many other places and memorials. There are individual stories related to this trip.

Join Scouting Night

Troops 327 and 1327 hosted a Join Scouting Night and invited members of the community to join us. Scouts worked on traditional scout skills, such as first aid, knot-tying, fire building, and hangin a bear bag. Multiple potential members showed up to meet the troops.
Foothills Antique Power Association Tractor Show
May 15 - 17, 2026
Members of Troop 327 attended the Foothills Antique Power Association Tractor Show where they camped for two nights and helped the Association keep the fairgrounds clean by emptying the trash cans and cleaning up trash in the grandstands.
Camp Raven Knob
April 25 - 26, 2026
Scouts from troops 327 and 1327 travelled to Camp Raven Knob in Mt. Airy for a back packing campout.
Heather Roseman awarded Silver Beaver

Heather Roseman, our troop committee chair, was awarded the Silver Beaver award, the highest council-level award for volunteers. Her 26+ year of service, not only to our troop, but to the district and council, are the reason the award was given.
2026 Mini Golf Tournament

Members of Troops 327 and 1327 enjoyed our annual mini golf tournament at Cross Country Campground.
Merit Badge Campout
March 27 - 29, 2026
Members of Troops 327 and 1327 gathered at Mackie's Woods for a merit badge and rank requirement weekend. We worked on two merit badges - Orienteering and Nature.
Sullenberger Aviation Museum
February 22, 2026
Members of Troops 327 and 1327 travelled to Charlotte, NC to the Sullenberger Aviation Museum to fulfill the final requirement for Aviation Merit Badge. The museum houses the plane made famous in the move "Miracle on the Hudson" .
Scout Sunday 2026
January 18, 2026
Troops 327 and 1327, and Pack 327 participated in Scout Sundat at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. Scouts provided the music and read scripture as part of the service. Scout Sunday is part of the celebration of Scouting's birthday in the United States.
Cardboard City 2026
January 17 - 18, 2026
Scouts from Troops 327 and 1327, alongside Arrow of Light members from Pack 327 participated in Cardboard City. The Scouts build cardboard shelters, slept in them overnight, and helped to raise money for the Food Panry at Hopewell Church
